Scott Jones, Lead Pastor

Scott is South Haven born and raised, and he understands and loves this community. He has a relationship with Jesus and he teaches the Bible in a way that feels real and relevant to your life. He tells stories about life, work, school, kids, and even his own struggles with God.  

A graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University, Scott has been in ministry for over 21 years.

Scott coaches football at Portage High School for 9th graders and rides his motorcycle. He and his wife, Cathy, have two adult children and a labradoodle full of puppy energy, Zuzu.

 

Jacob Marcum,                            Partner in Ministry Development

Jake hails from Kansas City, where he lived most of his life. In high school, Jake accepted Christ and the call into vocational ministry in the local church. He is currently finishing his Bachelor's Degree in Christian Ministry. Jake has a passion for meeting the next generation and parents where they're at in life and walking alongside them to help them see their value, identity, and purpose in Jesus.

Jake has a passion to teach the next generation of the church, helping them grow into lifelong disciples who make disciples that live out the character and actions of Jesus.

Jake and his wife, Emily, are recent transplants to NW Indiana and are loving living near Lake Michigan and Chicago.

Dave Pratt, Worship Leader

Dave has been playing piano and leading worship for most of his life. A native of Central California, he graduated from Pepperdine University and moved his family to the midwest. After moving to Ogden Dunes, Dave and his wife, Deb, fell in love with South Haven Nazarene and felt connected right away. 

Dave is a professor of Teacher Education at Purdue University Northwest and enjoys hanging out with his wife at the beach and playing in local bands. He plays with the TICKS (a local Ogden Dunes band) and The Daves, which features his best friend Dave Farris and drummer Joel Cherry. Dave enjoys going to the movies, singing karaoke, and most of all - teaching people to be better teachers. 

Dave and Deb have one adult child left at home, Ladd. Ladd works as a volunteer firefighter and serves in the children's ministry at South Haven.
